Sharks and Minnows

Sharks and Minnows transforms the classic group survival concept into a fast-paced multiplayer arena game where players alternate between predator and prey. Built on simple rules but quick reflexes, the experience is all about decision-making under pressure and quick adaptation as the situation shifts in real time.
The Rules: One Shark, Many Minnows
The game starts with one player as the Shark while everyone else plays as a Minnow. The Minnows must cross from one side of the arena to the other without being tagged. Each round, tagged Minnows become new Sharks. The match ends when only one Minnow remains—or none at all.
- Speed Zones: Areas that temporarily increase or decrease your running speed.
- Hiding Spots: Use barrels, tunnels, or shadows to avoid detection.
- Zone Collapse: The playfield shrinks as the round goes on, forcing confrontation.
Shark Abilities and Special Perks
As the Shark count increases, so do their abilities. Sharks can unlock dashes, sonar pulses, or bait traps depending on performance. Meanwhile, Minnows earn brief speed boosts, decoys, and stealth perks for skillful escapes.
- Shark Dash: Temporary burst that doubles speed and lets you crash through obstacles.
- Sonar Ping: Reveals hidden Minnows briefly.
- Decoy Clone: A rare reward for evading three Sharks in one round.
Progression and Customization
Players earn coins for each successful round completed as a Minnow and for tags earned as a Shark. These can be used to unlock skins, taunt emotes, and trail effects. Leaderboards track survival streaks and tag chains, adding a competitive edge.
Sharks and Minnows revives a classic playground favorite and injects it with unpredictable twists and adrenaline-fueled rounds. It’s the kind of game that’s easy to learn, but each round plays out differently depending on how players adapt and think under pressure.
